A simple story of wine

Saturday’s purchases

Well – I looked in Aldi and Sainsburys today! Aldi had lots of the 2003 Viña Decana Reserva on the shelf. I’ll probably taste some of this tomorrow, so wait for my opinion. Sainsburys had just a few bottles of the Casillero del Diablo Reserva Privada, but at the offer price of £6.11 – so quite a bargain. I apologise for only leaving one bottle behind on the shelf – it looked rather lonely!!

  1. Hi laurie. Wev’e found some more “Couleurs Du Sud” stii available at Morrisons Workington for £4.49. It’s a 2008 Cab Sauv, Languedoc Vin De Pays D’Oc (750 ml 13%). We must have got through a dozen this past few weeks and like it a lot, especially at £4.49! It’s got plenty of intense fruit and I like the “cigar box” taste/association with good Cab Sauv not usualy found at this price. Worth a go!

P.S. there’s also a Chardonnay at the same price from the same family and as it’s 18.47 p.m. on a Saturday night it’s time to open it up
